Phoenix – A double shooting occurred early Saturday morning in west Phoenix, leaving two men injured and the suspect still at large. The incident took place around 2 a.m. near the intersection of 27th Avenue and Bethany Home Road.
Upon arrival, Phoenix police discovered two men suffering from gunshot wounds. Emergency services transported both victims to a nearby hospital where they are expected to recover from their injuries. Thankfully, their injuries are deemed non-life-threatening.
The suspect fled the scene before law enforcement arrived. An investigation is currently underway, and police are soliciting assistance from the public to help identify potential suspects involved in the shooting.

This shooting comes on the heels of another double shooting that occurred in Phoenix just days earlier. On June 26, police responded to a similar situation near 67th Avenue and Indian School Road around 3 p.m. At that incident, officers found two men who had also been shot.
The victims were later identified as 36-year-old Mario Martinez and 33-year-old Luis Mendez-Armenta. Martinez died at the scene, while Mendez-Armenta succumbed to his injuries at a local hospital shortly after. The suspect in that case also fled and is currently being pursued by investigators.
The victims in this case were identified as 38-year-old Tiwayla Spencer and 36-year-old Marquisha Williams. Both women were found shot to death. Authorities have stated that they are not currently seeking any suspects in relation to this incident, and they have assured the community that there is no ongoing threat.
