Wren & Wolf, a modern supper club and extravagant alpine lodge, has opened its doors in downtown Phoenix, located just moments away from the PHX Arena and Arizona Federal Theater. The restaurant, which debuted in late 2021, is owned by Teddy and Katie Myers, founders of the culinary group Pretty Decent Concepts. Wren & Wolf intends to infuse the local dining scene with an energetic vibe reminiscent of big-city establishments.
Wren & Wolf serves as an ideal venue for a variety of dining occasions, including pre-show cocktails, chic date nights, and leisurely brunches. Weekend brunch features a range of elevated dishes, such as caviar bumps, fried chicken and doughnuts, and Dutch iron pancakes. The interior of the restaurant is marked by deep, shadowy designs, moody lighting, taxidermy, and grand oil paintings of wolves and pheasants. This ambiance aims to create a rich, cinematic atmosphere that evokes the feel of a mysterious hunting lodge.
The menu boasts several standout items, including Noble toast paired with crispy chicharrón and indulgent charred bone marrow. Among the main dishes, the ribeye has been highlighted as a top choice, while diners can also enjoy tableside preparation of Japanese A5 wagyu, cooked over binchotan charcoal. A unique offering is the wild boar Bolognese served over creste di gallo pasta, which is designed to hold the sauce effectively.
The drink menu at Wren & Wolf is categorized by “vibe,” showcasing options that range from “light and flirty” to “strong and serious.” Signature cocktails include creative names such as “I Love You, But I Love Me More,” “Shishito Out of Luck,” and the visually appealing “Bramble Spice Delight,” which is prepared tableside. Happy hour is available from Monday through Friday, providing guests with an opportunity to enjoy drinks in a vibrant atmosphere.
Wren & Wolf operates on varying hours: Monday to Wednesday from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., Thursday and Friday from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., Saturday from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m., and Sunday from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. The restaurant is located at 2 N. Central Ave., Ste. 101, Phoenix, AZ 85004, making it an accessible dining option in downtown Phoenix.
The owners, Teddy and Katie Myers, have plans to expand their culinary footprint with new projects in the pipeline. Upcoming concepts include a steakhouse named Cleaverman and an omakase-style fine dining experience, both expected to open at the nearby Arizona Center in 2025. Pretty Decent Concepts also operates popular cocktail venues Trophy Room and Carry On, which are located nearby, further enhancing the vibrant nightlife and dining options in downtown Phoenix.
As Wren & Wolf continues to make its mark, it is poised to become a staple for those seeking a memorable dining experience infused with sophisticated cuisine and a lively atmosphere in the heart of Phoenix.
