Dunton later shared that it seemed Boden had found shelter for the night, having curled up under a tree instead of walking through the treacherous wilderness. The area is known for its challenging terrain, filled with mountains, canyons, and boulders, making Boden’s journey all the more astonishing.
It became clear that Buford played a crucial role in this remarkable story. As a natural guardian dog, Buford typically patrols the ranch to ward off coyotes.
