In response, libraries and local bookstores across the state are implementing diverse summer reading programs designed to foster a love for reading in children. One notable program, the BOOK IT initiative, incentivizes children from preschool through sixth grade to reach their reading goals by rewarding them with free personal pan pizzas from Pizza Hut.
